Engulfed by cedars

Tender Sunlight caresses my skin

I find you, in the looking glass

Admist the ferns, bare feet on the ground

Waiting for me to notice

You’ve been here all along,

“Sunlit Cedars” the first experiment with a grisaille. A masters technique of a highly detailed underpainting in a monochrome to understand value before adding colors in glazes.

I found it to be a gem to add to my crown of techniques in oil and continue to implement it into my current paintings.
